Many people don't understand why, and some even think that any pilling is a quality problem. In fact, this is the people's prejudice. In the process of using a variety of fiber clothing, the sweater surface will be due to various external friction and pilling. This phenomenon is inevitable in natural fiber and chemical fiber fabrics, and it is still a technical topic to be solved in the world.

There are many reasons for sweater pilling, and it could be the fabric itself. The higher the quality of wool raw material, the better the fineness, the denser the surface scales, the better the curl, the softer the feel, but it is easy to tangle up the ball. Different fabric structure (flat stitch, silver ingots, double silver ingots, etc.) And different densities (loose and compact) will also produce different degrees of pilling. The State Bureau of Technical Supervision conducts pilling tests on sweaters according to different wool specifications (number of wool) to weave them into the specified density. The tissue structure sample is placed in the pilling box for the specified time and then evaluated.

When wearing sweaters, they contact different objects (smooth and rough), which will also produce different degrees of pilling phenomenon. Frequent friction in sleeves, pockets and other parts is also easy to pilling. Technically, if the twist is loose, the wool is round and plump, the yarn is plump but prone to pilling, while if the twist is tight, the wool will lose its style, just like rope. As a result, the phenomenon of sweater pilling is more obvious in the initial wearing process. It can be fixed with a small pair of scissors and won't happen again. This phenomenon will gradually disappear.

When cleaning sweaters, we should pat them gently to get the dirt out. Then we should put the sweater in cold water and soak it for 15 minutes with a little washing powder. Then we should gently rub the whole sweater with our hands. After rubbing, we should rinse with clean water until the washing powder is washed away. If you want to make the sweater more colorful, you can add the right amount of vinegar or a spoonful of salt to the water. After cleaning, dry off the water and hang in a ventilated place to dry.
